The shorts do the job I want. I ordered the extra large (38" waist); I think the large would have done the job. Color was a nice navy shade when I got them. After two weeks (about 20 hours in the pool), the only thing that is navy colored is the inside of the waistband. The rest of the suit is charcoal. It still works.
