I have acute sensitivity to chlorine. Although this product is expensive and needs to be applied liberally, I only apply it to problem areas and now I can swim everyday in my own and public pools without experiencing an itchy rash.

Can’t find it!

This lotion is excellent for preventing the itchy legs that often come after swimming in chlorinated water. But it is REALLY hard to find, and when you can find it, it tends to be much more expensive than you’d expect.

Before using this product I was breaking out in an extremely itchy rash on various parts of my body. Now as long as I'm covering enough skin with this cream before swimming I only get 0 to 3 very small spots. This is easily controlled with Hydrocortisone cream. Finally back to swimming 6 days a week.

Dermaswim Pro was my last resort at being able to keep my swim routine at our gym four days a week. I would experience awful itching on my arms and legs by mid afternoon after spending an hour exercising in the pool in the morning. A diligent shower after the swim didn't help at all. Finally, after research on the internet I determined that my skin was overly sensitive to bromine which I was absorbing into my skin during the exercise and that there were others that also also sensitive to bromine and had the same problem as I and I also discovered that Dermaswim Pro pre-swim lotion might be the answer to preventing the itchy skin that resulted from the swim. Have used Dermaswim Pro for years and it's the best prevention for skin drying / itching available. Although the 8 oz tube is somewhat pricey, a small amount per application can last several days since you never need to wash off the product. Highly recommended especially for those of us who swim in chlorinated pools.

I have a 10 year old daughter (African American) who is on a swim team and she practices Monday thru Friday. Before buying DermaSwim she complained of itching and dry skin every day (even though she had a daily shower and lotioned her skin). She uses the product before swimming and it has made a HUGE difference. Her skin maintains more moisture and the itching is gone...no more complaints. The only disadvantage to this product is that is doesn't come in a bigger bottle. It really works!!!!

I had been getting a blotchy rash on my face which would last three or four days from swimming in the chlorinated pool at my gym. This problem has been resolved simply by applying a small amount of Dermaswim Pro to my face (avoiding the goggle area). No problems for my sensitive skin! It's also been great on arms and legs--no more prickly itching after swimming.
